So you disregarded your "display problem" and continued the fight, instead of saying something at the beginning and maybe getting it fixed before going on?
That was your decision, and one you took responsibility for when you let it go.
Whatever the reason, you chose to continue the fight, and then proceeded to lose. "If I'd had my Drones..." fails to matter at this point, and is nothing but a "what if..."
If the 1.25b that HE WON is like nothing to you, then pay the man.

No, he continued on, because he thought he could win, anyway. And if he had won, you could bet he'd be keeping the money, "voided" fight or not.

Like I said, Siren pre-empted me by telling the story that he did, scripted like it was, through his various posts in this thread. I woke up and got into it three pages in. Paying him 1.25 billion ISK at this point is a wasted effort. It would be rewarding him for slandering me. He knew that I was good for it; we've dealt such stakes in poker. Its unfortunate that he took the route he did, but he chose his path. Until he wrote this thread, this could have been amicably resolved.
*shrugs* In his shoes, I would not have chosen to proceed this way, but he did - and I presume he knew what the consequences would be. The chances of me paying the man went from (well, given the communal thoughts here - 100%) to 0% when he created this thread.
Siren, if you read this later - I told you I'd take care of it. I told you what I was going to do, and how I was going to resolve it. Shame on you for this half story. =p

Do you realize how stupid you sound? Now you're just killing your own reputation here. Which is ok, of course.
You're a forum warrior, a nobody in the EVE universe itself, and you seem to think that anyone's going to give a crap and just accept "that's just how it is 'cause I said so!" without any negativity.

Oh, and by the way... I was on or had characters logged until downtime this morning... there never was any disruption of service, unless it magically didn't effect the Molden Heath region.

If you admit that you were wrong in not paying in the first place right after the fight, paid him with the terms that he's to edit the original post saying it's resolved, and paid him, your reputation would be fine and this would all be cleared up. There's nothing blackmail about it, so quit trying to find reasons not to pay, pull your ********* out of your purse, and pay the man.

It was all settled, there's no dispute over the payment he received, so why is this thread still going on about how he should have been payed more?
The OP is satisfied, and that should be the end of it.
